FAQ -----

Why should I hire a Bookkeeping Service?

Just as you are an expert in your business; I’m an expert in what I do. I assume the responsibilities of keeping your financial and administrative information in order so you can focus on what you do best. You need a bookkeeper for many different reasons, from day-to-day bookkeeping to financial analysis, to paying your bills, to keeping track of your expenses and cashflows.

Why not hire a CPA?

CPA are worth their weight in gold. Their services are great for tax advice, tax preparation, and more complex issues. Their fees are $400 on up depending on your area. You do not need a CPA for monthly bookkeeping services. Your money is best spent using a bookkeeping service for your business and a CPA for taxes and more complex issues. I provide affordable rates and services for your business.

Should I hire someone part-time?

When considering hiring an employee, even part-time, you have to consider the cost of wages, payroll taxes, benefits, paid days off, workers comp, administrative costs, and office space. It is costly to hire an employee. I tailor my services to meet your business needs. Whether it's 10 hours a week or just a few hours each month. You only pay for the services you need. There are no employee costs.

How does your services work?

We will meet to discuss your accounting needs. I will either pick the work up and complete it at my office, or I will work from your office. I offer affordable payment plans. Call for an appointment today.

How much does it cost?

Each client’s needs are unique. I set up a meeting to discuss what services you need and what sort of bookkeeping system you have in place. I work on an hourly rate, or a flat monthly rate, dependent upon the level of service required and your preference.

What are the advantages of hiring my small business?

I specialize in micro to medium businesses. I have worked with many different types of businesses including cannabis companies. My clients range from sole proprietors to S Corps with 10 – 20 employees. I cater to the companies that don’t have the workload to make it practical to hire a regular part-time bookkeeper, but don’t have the time or knowledge to do it themselves.

How is cannabis accounting different from regular accounting?

Cannabis companies face difficulties with accounting. Section 280E of the tax code forbids businesses from deducting otherwise ordinary business expenses from gross income associated with the sale of schedule one or two substances. There is also a lot of cash handling as banks deny essential business accounts to cannabis facilities. Accounting software such as Intuit and other great software forbid the use of their cloud-based software for cannabis facilities. I have over 35 years of cannabis accounting experience. I have held positions such as CFO, and manager let’s discuss your facility’s accounting needs. I will custom an accounting plan for your business. No job is too small. I can also provide administrative assistance for your office as well. There is currently talk of rescheduling, which could change tax deductions, and allow bank accounts.
